The Garden Room - Location

Location
Great Chishill viewed from Barley

The Garden Room set in its own grounds and is an annexe to our 17th Century, Grade II listed thatched cottage in the pleasant, quiet village of Great Chishill. We are actually in Cambridgeshire but within a mile of Essex and Hertfordshire. Great Chishill boasts that it is the highest point in Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk! From the village you can see the city of Cambridge about 12 miles away, and on a clear day, it is possible to see Ely Cathedral 35 miles away!

It is about 5 miles to Royston (nearest railway station - to London Kings Cross) and the pretty market town of Saffron Waldon is about 8 miles away (Audley End Station 6 miles to London Liverpool Street).

Access by car is very easy as we are only 5 miles from the M11 Junction 10 and only 2 miles from the A505, which links with the A11 and A14 and the A1(M).
